The scheduled 10-round super middleweight bout will take place on November 13, 2025. As amateurs, Erik Bazinyan and Steven Butler didn’t differ much in their fighting styles. But rest assured, that won’t be the case on March 14th, as I’ll be in Steven Butler’s corner. In his previous outing last September, Erik Bazinyan (32-1-1, 23 KOs) suffered his first career defeat by knockout in the 10th round against Jaime Munguia. No world belt is at stake, but the outcome could reshape both fighters’ careers and influence future title opportunities.

The fans will still get a great local fight, but in the end, I’ll remind everyone — and Fondjo — that I belong at the international level.” I respect Steven Butler – he has a similar mentality – but I’ve suffered enough to get here and earn this opportunity. The fans will still get a great local fight, but in the end, I’ll remind everyone – and Fondjo – that I belong at the international level.” “It’s been weeks since I’ve been making sacrifices away from my family to prepare to face Erik Bazinyan,” Steven Butler said.

• I respect Steven Butler – he has a similar mentality – but I’ve suffered enough to get here and earn this opportunity.
• What fans love most about boxing are certainly the matchups between two local fighters in the final bout.
• You’ll understand that I won’t be revealing any game plans or tactics for this fight.
• The night, promoted by Eye of the Tiger Management, will also feature a strong undercard with local talents.
• But you need to have seen them spar to know that they’re not friends when it’s time to put on the gloves.
• If you’re mainly interested in the headline bout, there’s still some time — but it’s always worth watching the full card.

Butler has since added knockout victories over Fernando Farias last November 7 at this location and – most recently – Jose de Jesus Macias on June 27 in Quebec City. “I respect Steven Butler — he has a similar fury joshua mentality — but I’ve suffered enough to get here and earn this opportunity. “I won’t hide the fact that our entire team is extremely disappointed — especially for our fans, who have been waiting for this fight for several months,” said EOTTM president Camille Estephan.

An Event That Lights Up Montreal

Both are part of Eye of the Tiger Management. On November 13, at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal, the city will witness its own derby. It’s not just about winning, but about legacy, identity, and pride. Prestige, ranking positions, and the opportunity to shape their future — all hang in the balance. For Bazinyan, it’s a comeback; for Butler, a chance to confirm his resurgence. “Since he pulled out twice, I’m already up 2–0.

Estephan will see not only two of his athletes share the ring on March 14, but two of his long-time protégés. No detours will be taken on the road back to the top on March 14. At 6′ 1″, Bazinyan holds a slight height advantage, but his ability to absorb pressure will be tested against Butler’s forward style. His 83% knockout rate underscores his reputation as a finisher. While no belts are at stake, the bout could serve as a springboard toward future title contention. Check the schedule to see when the event begins in your region.
